Margarita Oliva Sainz de Aja has joined Dunning Vallejo & MacDonald LLP as a partner effective April 1, 2026.
Ms. Oliva brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and general corporate law in New York City. She advises financial institutions and corporations on complex financing and commercial transactions across the Americas and is widely recognized for her work on cross-border matters involving Spain and Latin America. Her practice has included project finance, bank finance, capital markets, and corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and outsourcings, for clients ranging from multinational financial institutions to major corporates.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Oliva has represented businesses from Spain and Latin America in a broad range of financing transactions and strategic deals, helping clients navigate differing legal systems, regulatory environments, and market practices. She is known in the market for combining deep technical knowledge with a practical, business-focused approach and for her ability to lead multi-jurisdictional teams on sophisticated cross-border transactions.
